WHO WE ARE
ASM Solar & Electrical was founded on the principle that solar systems should be designed, installed, and supported with a long-term commitment to responsibility. What began as a closeknit installation team of electricians and engineers has evolved into a trusted contracting business—recognised for its transparency and technical expertise.
We currently service Greater Western Sydney, South West Sydney, and Wollongong, supporting commercial and industrial clients with engineered solar and battery solutions. Our local presence enables responsive service, site-specific system design, and ongoing support throughout the system lifecycle
OUR TEAM
Our team is the foundation of ASM Solar & Electrical’s reputation. The business was established by a father-and-son installation team, with no salesmen, supported only by apprentices and technicians with strong electrical backgrounds. During the early solar boom, many solar retailers relied on our team to install systems sold directly to end customers—often in an industry still finding its footing.
Our installation experience spans:
- Early 1kW grid-connected systems using 160W panels and SMA Sunny Boy inverters
- Mid-range systems up to 7kW utilising polycrystalline panels and SMA Tripower inverters
- Modern commercial systems in the mega watt scale from 3kW to 100kW, including integrated battery storage
As the industry matured, we repeatedly encountered customers left unsupported after installation—often due to retailers ceasing operations or failing to manage warranty claims. As installers, we were frequently the first point of contact for these issues. This exposure led to a strategic shift from subcontracting to a fully contracting-based business.
A commitment to long-term accountability drove that decision. Several solar companies from our early years continue to engage our installation services today, reflecting sustained trust in our workmanship, consistency, and attention to detail.
From Middlemen to Your Front Door
ASM Solar & Electrical was established as a contracting business to provide customers with security, transparency, and long-term protection. Our terms and conditions align with the Clean Energy Council Code of Conduct, and our commitments exceed industry minimums.
We provide:
- A personal guarantee on all products we install;
- Replacement of products with equal or greater value for free should a manufacturer cease trading; and
- A documented system performance estimate, backed by a performance guarantee
If a system does not perform in line with our estimate, we commit to financially compensating the difference for the life of the STC period.
